Tessa has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University. After graduation, she was an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America) at the University of Texas at Austin in the Volunteer & Service Learning Center. For two years she focused on supporting student volunteers with their service in the Austin community. In 2013, she completed her masters in College Student Personnel at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. At Tennessee, she worked with students struggling with their academic career, as well as advised undgraduates in the College of Education, Health, & Human Sciences.
In June 2013, Tessa joined the School of Arts & Humanities to advise all undergraduate students majoring in Emerging Media and Communication.
