Take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and report the official score to UT Dallas (must achieve a minimum score of 550 (paper-based) or 80 (internet-based) or 6.5 on the IELTS).

2) Apply
Freshman Transfer (less than 30 transferable hours) Application Requirements:
If you have completed college or university work from an institution recognized by that country's Ministry of Education, the following must accompany the application:
Provide official, attested photocopies, or certified copies of all previous university transcripts or mark sheets showing subjects completed, grades earned, and dates of courses taken — CONSOLIDATED MARK SHEETS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE
If you have achieved an "A" Level Examination Certificate, please provide an official, attested copy
Provide official, attested photocopies, or certified copies of the degree certificate or diploma showing the type of degree and date earned
Provide copies of course syllabi or course descriptions (these must be submitted before anything other than general transfer credit can be assigned)
Provide official TOEFL scores (must achieve a minimum score of 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based) or 80 (Internet-based),
$50 non-refundable international credential fee (for applicants with transcripts or other international credentials from international institutions).
*In order for your academic documents to be official they must be in a school sealed envelope with the school seal or signature on the back side of the envelope.
3) Get Admitted
Domestic Freshmen or Sophomore Transfers
Freshmen or sophomore applicants to UT Dallas who have previously taken courses at one or more other accredited institutions of higher education will be reviewed for admission using the same criteria for first time freshmen. In addition, freshman applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00, on a 4.00 scale, and sophomore applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50, on a 4.00 scale, for all post-secondary academic course work.
Junior and senior transfer applicants are automatically admitted if their cumulative GPA for post-secondary academic course work is 2.5 or better, on a 4.0 scale. All junior and senior transfer applicants that do not qualify for automatic admission are reviewed by the departmental Associate Dean according to the major of the applicant.
