UT Dallas offers day, evening and weekend classes, providing ample educational opportunities for students who need a more flexible schedule. In fact, our admissions process, class schedules, transfer guides and curriculum were created with you, the transfer student, in mind.

UT Dallas also offers the Comet Connection for transfer students. This program offers:

Guaranteed fixed tuition for four years through the Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan.
Four years of college with no increase in tuition and fees.
No additional costs for registering for hours in excess of 15.
An opportunity to begin higher education at a community college and at the same time enjoy many of the benefits of campus life at UT Dallas.
An opportunity to participate in sponsored activities and take advantage of academic advising through UT Dallas.

Transfer Admission Requirements

UT Dallas accepts transfer admission applications for fall, spring and summer semesters from students who have begun their college work and are in good standing at other institutions of higher education. Your qualifications, which are based on how many transferable semester credit hours you have earned, determine your admissions criteria.

Transfer Student Costs

The cost of college varies from student to student, even at the same university, but based on current experience, a Texas resident enrolling in 12 undergraduate semester hours for the fall 2010 semester could expect to pay tuition and fees of approximately $4,272 per semester. There are several scholarships available specifically for transfer students. Refer to the Transfer Scholarships section in the Financial Aid web page.

We'll Waive Your Application Fee

Preview Friday gives undergraduate transfer students an opportunity to learn about UT Dallas. And if you attend a Preview Friday during spring and apply online for fall, we'll waive your $50 application fee.
