Enrollment Services Counselor
Q: What's your favorite thing about The University of Texas at Dallas?
A: I was able to grow in a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Its location and the community of Richardson, Texas made me feel safe to study on campus, also being able to experience a culture outside of my own.
Q: What's your favorite place on campus and why?
A:The Comet Café and The Pub to eat, relax, and enjoy the company of friends at UT Dallas. I also like to admire the view of the court side between the Multipurpose and Green building. When the weather is just right I enjoy the fragrance of the magnolia trees next to the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science.
Q: What do you like about being an admissions counselor?
A: Helping students achieve goals and develop lives through a college education. It’s a rewarding process to receive a thank you call from a student.
Q: What advice would you give to college-bound students?
A:
1. Find strong mentors — especially in a field related to your interests.
2. Ask questions about the college experiences of those you respect and admire.
3. Keep in close contact with your mentors. Their lessons will last a lifetime.
4. Always seek wisdom, knowledge and experience in everything that you do.
