The Comet Transfer Scholarship is for qualified first-time, degree-seeking, full-time and part-time undergraduate transfer students who are Texas residents at the time of admission. Transfer students are defined as individuals who have completed college-level course work beyond high school graduation (excluding the summer immediately after high school graduation).
This scholarship ranges from $250 to $1,500 per semester based on part-time or full-time enrollment as shown below. Transfer students are automatically reviewed for this scholarship after they have been admitted.
Comet Transfer Scholarship Criteria
Eligibility Requirements:
Student must be admitted as a transfer and be a Texas resident at the time of admission
Student must have earned at least 30, but no more than 90, transferable semester credit hours. A minimum of six of those hours must have been completed after high school graduation, excluding the summer immediately following high school graduation.
This scholarship is subject to the availability of funds.
This scholarship is only awarded to students who, at the time of admission, have a cumulative transferable GPA of 3.0 or higher.
This scholarship is only awarded for fall or spring semesters to new students and is not deferrable.
This scholarship may be used in addition to other grants, scholarships or loans.
Scholarship funds may be applied toward tuition and fees only.

* Renewable awards are for a maximum of six consecutive semesters. Students receiving this award must register and complete the minimum number of credits required each semester associated with full-time or part-time credits to remain scholarship eligible.
Students majoring in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering or telecommunications engineering may also receive an additional scholarship award for two semesters (fall/spring or spring/fall). Transfer students with a 3.0 to 3.49 transferable GPA who receive the Comet Transfer Scholarship for one semester will receive a one-time award. Award amounts are $500 for full-time enrollment and $250 for part-time enrollment.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship (PTK) is for qualified first-time, degree-seeking, full-time and part-time undergraduate transfer students who are current members of PTK and who are Texas residents at the time of admission. Transfer students are defined as individuals who have completed college-level course work beyond high school graduation (excluding the summer immediately after high school graduation).
Students who have previously earned a four-year, U.S. bachelor's degree or its equivalent are not eligible to receive this award.
Membership must be verified by official documentation.
