We are located at the convergence of Richardson, Plano and Dallas.

Comets take learning seriously, but they also like to have fun. In addition, because UT Dallas is located in the heart of America's fourth largest metropolitan area, there are plenty of opportunities for discovering cool, exciting things to do and see.

UT Dallas has academic advantages to be sure, but we also have quick and easy access to all that Richardson, Dallas and Fort Worth have to offer. Moreover, it's good to know that with gas prices on the rise, you may not even need a car while you're here.

In fact, the University offers free DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) gold passes to all students. The annual pass program gives the bearer unlimited access to all DART services, including local and express buses and light rail, as well as the University's very own Comet Cruiser line that runs to local businesses and grocery stores near UT Dallas. Take DART Light Rail Red Line to the Bush Turnpike Station. Transfer to the UT Dallas Comet Cruiser, Route 883, serving the rail station at 30-minute intervals during the hours of 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday. Check the schedule for limited Saturday service hours.

The University sits north of Dallas in Richardson, Texas.
Special events in the city include the Wildflower Arts and Music Festival, the Cottonwood Art Festival and the Huffhines Art Trails.
There's also the Charles W. Eisemann Center, which features a 1,500-seat hall and is host to professional musical, dance, comedy and theatrical events.
With nearly as many restaurants per capita as New York City and as the birthplace of Neiman Marcus, the eateries and shopping in and around the Dallas area are sure to thrill.
There are also places for outdoor running, biking, hiking and skating.
Four interstate highways connect Dallas to both coasts, Mexico, and Canada. Because of the two local airports, Dallas Love Field and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas residents have more flights to choose among than residents of all but five cities on earth.

Other attractions include the Dallas and Fort Worth Zoos, Fair Park, the Fort Worth Stockyards, the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science, world-renowned art museums that include the Kimbell, Amon Carter Museum, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas World Aquarium, the new American Airlines Center and the State Fair of Texas.

Still can't find enough to do? Major sport teams in the area include the world-famous Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Mavericks, the Dallas Stars, the Texas Rangers and soccer team FC Dallas. The Texas Motor Speedway is nearby, too. If you'd rather move to the beat of your favorite drummer, you can visit the vibrant Dallas music scene and listen or dance to live bands that cover the entire musical spectrum—rock, jazz, blues, country, classical and salsa.
