Admission Timeline

At UT Dallas, applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis up until the application deadline, which you can find on the application process page. Details about the admission timeline are listed below:

  • Application is submitted through Apply Texas
    • Once an application is received, an email will be sent to the address listed with your unique 10-digit UTD-ID and information on how to check your status online. You can check your application status, along with the status of outstanding admissions materials, through your Galaxy Applicant Center.
  • Complete Application
    • Your application will be considered complete once official transcripts have been received from every college or university you have attended. Supplemental documents, such as the optional essay, letters of recommendation and resume, can also be submitted along with the required documents to be considered for admissions purposes. If you have less than 30 transferrable hours, official SAT or ACT scores along with your official high school transcript can also be submitted to be taken into consideration.
  • Application Review
    • The entire complete application file is reviewed for an admissions decision by the committee.
    • Once your application is complete, it can take between four and six weeks for an admissions decision to be made. Read more about our admission requirements for incoming transfer students.
  • Admissions Decision
    • Your application status will first be updated online in your Galaxy Applicant Center and an admissions decision letter will follow soon afterwards.
    • Review the steps after admission.
