Government, law enforcement and non-profit organizations will be among the industries represented at upcoming career events scheduled for February.

Career Advice & a Slice – February 15

An FBI representative will be one of the industry professionals at this event scheduled for Friday, February 15, at noon in the SU Galaxy rooms. Students will have the opportunity to visit with representatives from three different industries during three 15-minute rotations. In addition to law enforcement, other industries represented include healthcare, online marketing, nonprofit events, sports management, law, university faculty, sales/account management. No need for business attire, however registration through a CareerWorks account is required.

Public Agency Expo - February 20

Network with employers from nonprofit organizations and city, state and federal government offices about jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities at the Public Agency Expo scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the SU Galaxy Rooms on February 20. Dress professionally, and be sure to bring your Comet Card.

U.S. Department of Labor, Job Shadow Day – February 21

The Dallas Region of the U.S. Department of Labor will host college students and recent graduates for a job shadow day on Thursday, February 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students will also participate in a group presentation about the agencies’ mission and activities.
