Paul Battaglio

Profile

R. Paul Battaglio, Jr. (Ph.D., The University of Georgia, M.P.A. Louisiana State University, B.S. Louisiana State University) studies comparative policy and administration, public human resource management, and comparative political attitudes.

His research has focused on civil service reform in government, particularly recent state government efforts to abolish the merit system in favor of an at-will employment structure.

Other research interests include examining comparative political attitudes, particularly toward privatization of public services in developed market economies and transition economies.

His work has appeared in Public Administration Review, the Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis, the Review of Public Personnel Administration, and State and Local Government Review.

He teaches courses in public human resource management and public management.
