Bruce Jacobs has authored or co-authored numerous books and peer-reviewed articles on the decision-making processes of active street offenders.
His street-based research on armed robbery and carjacking has been funded by the National Science Foundation (through the National Consortium on Violence Research) and the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation.
Cambridge University Press recently published his book "Street Justice: Retaliation in the Criminal Underworld" in 2006.
