Stephanie P. Newbold (Ph.D. and MPA, Virginia Tech; BA, Elon University) is an Assistant Professor of Public Affairs specializing in the intellectual history of public administration, administrative ethics, the legal environment of public management, and organization theory.
Her research broadly examines the importance of connecting the constitutional and institutional values of American government to administrative theory and practice.
In their annual review of the field’s doctoral dissertations, the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Public Administration (NASPAA) awarded Dr. Newbold’s dissertation on Thomas Jefferson honorable mention for its significant research contribution to the study of public affairs and public administration.
