Profile
Carole J. Wilson received her B.A. (1995) in Political Science and History from Louisiana State University, and her M.A. (1998) and Ph.D. (2001) in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently Assistant Professor of Government, Politics, and Political Economy in the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas.
Dr. Wilson’s research and teaching interests include comparative electoral behavior, and the study of comparative political parties. Her major areas of interest include the politics of Mexico and the European Union. She has conducted extensive empirical research on voting behavior, attitude formation, and democratization in Mexico. Her most recent publications explore issues of regional integration and globalization in Western Europe. Dr. Wilson has published in the British Journal of Political Science, in several edited volumes, and has articles forthcoming in the American Journal of Political Science and Comparative Political Studies. She has presented research at the annual meetings of the American Political Science Association, the International Society of Political Psychology, the Latin American Studies Association, and the Southern Political Science Association.
