The Pioneer Scholarships at Geospatial Information Sciences

To create a strategic partnership between the UT Dallas Geospatial Information Sciences (GISc) and Pioneer Natural Resources, a set of scholarships have been set up with Pioneer's generous donation. The purpose of the scholarships is to prompt the strength of UTD GISc program in offering both the practical, vocationally-relevant instruction that makes many of our graduates highly employable and the cutting edge academic research that makes our faculty and research-oriented students some of the best in the field. Strategically, this will involve growing the size of the undergraduate program and encouraging the best of those undergraduates to enter the master's and doctoral programs at UT Dallas.
