My Work
After graduating from UT Dallas, I earned my law degree at SMU and then began working in family and divorce law. In 1995 I founded my own firm - Holmes, Diggs & Eames - which specializes in family law. We have offices in Dallas, Houston and Denton with a total of 13 lawyers.
I have been practicing family law in Texas for more than 25 years and am a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
On a day-to-day basis, I interact daily with the young lawyers at our firm and guide them in their cases and careers. We help families through a time of great stress and transition.
The Value of My Degree
My degree from UT Dallas gave me a well-rounded knowledge and appreciation of the world around me so I can better communicate with and understand my clients and their needs.
My EPPS Success
I attribute my success while at UT Dallas to hard work, diligence and a commitment to succeed. Mentoring by professors in the economics and political science departments was also a key.
Advice for EPPS Students
My advice for EPPS students would be to work very hard and never give up on achieving your dream. Be an entrepreneur. Building a business is very satisfying.
Other Interests
I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf and traveling.
