Deciding on Sociology

As a Pre-Law student, I wanted a chance to learn more about the types of people I could be working with. By studying things in the area of crime, marriage, norms, and other sociological topics, I believe I will be able to have a more well-rounded approach to my future.

My EPPS Success

Talking to faculty has been the greatest help in my EPPS success. By talking to my professors both in and out of class, a number of opportunities have arisen that have assisted in my growth.

Plans for the Future

I plan to enter Law School in Fall of 2017, and go on to work with families and children within the legal system (focusing on family and criminal proceedings).

Advice to Prospective EPPS Students

Don't be afraid to ask for help! I found myself hating my old major (Political Science), but it wasn't until I asked a faculty member for help and advice that I was able to change my major and ultimately thrive at UT Dallas.
