Deciding on Public Policy and Political Economy

Since my school days, I wanted to study political science and with the passage of time my interest grew in the field of human rights, constitutions, social movements, and conflict management.

My EPPS Success

My success at EPPS largely goes to the wonderful faculty and academic advisors. The instructors are patient and explain complex problems with ease. The program offers rigorous and excellent methodological courses which has helped me understand the nuances of data analysis.

Plans for the future

After finishing doctoral degree, I wish to make scholarly contribution to the social science research and work in a research institute/policy think tank. The idea is to expand my current interest and dataset on forced migration and learn intricacies of conflict management.

Advice to Prospective EPPS Students

Read a lot, choose classes wisely, take part in conferences and seminars, never be afraid to make mistakes, and do not hesitate to reach out to instructors. Instructors at UT Dallas have always helped me and did their best to guide me academically.

Other Interests
