UT Dallas Degree: BS - Public Affairs
Profession: National Account Manager, C.H. Robinson

My Work

In my current position, I oversee logistics for high volume clientele at C.H. Robinson, which provides supply chain consulting and logistics management worldwide. Whether synthesizing information, developing process models or managing logistical details, I’m using skills I learned in the public affairs program in my work on a regular basis.

The Value of My Degree

A public affairs degree is relevant in any field. The courses provided in this degree program give a comprehensive breakdown of organizational behavior. Even if you don’t pursue a public sector job, many topics transfer into the private sector. The public affairs faculty gave me the tools needed to integrate into the professional world successfully.

My EPPS Success

I feel that the support provided by the dedicated teaching staff makes the biggest impact on the program – and made the biggest impact on me. I will always be indebted to them for the valuable knowledge they instilled. I attribute their support to being able to graduate with magna cum laude honors.

Advice for EPPS Students

Talk to the professors! They are full of knowledge, so get your money’s worth.

Other Interests

I read and try to catch up with friends and family that I neglected while working and going to school. (While I was in school at Collin County Community College and at UT Dallas, I worked as a bank teller.)
