Terrorism and Policy Conference

The Center for Global Collective Action, University of Texas at Dallas, is sponsoring an academic workshop on terrorism and policy that will bring together senior and junior scholars, who are doing significant research on terrorism.

Participants will present research papers that explore terrorism and policy using theoretical (e.g., game theory and rational choice models) and empirical methods (e.g., time series and panel estimations).

Participants are coming from University of Alabama, Claremont McKenna College, State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, SUNY at Stony Brook, Texas A & M, New York University, RAND, University of Maryland, University of Texas at Austin, St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank, Yale University, University of Toulouse (France), University of Surrey (UK), University of Thessaly (Greece), and University of Navarra (Spain).

There are also a number of paper presenters and participants from the University of Texas at Dallas. The conference includes scholars from economics, operations research, psychology, public health, and political science.

There are twenty papers in total to be presented. The best papers will be refereed for possible inclusion in special issues of the Journal of Conflict Resolution.

This is the second conference on Terrorism and Policy held at UTD. The conference is on May 21-22, 2009 in Cecil H. Green Hall, room 3.606.
