Charter Transportation Request Form

Arrange Transportation for Your Event

Transportation Services will help you arrange transportation for your local event, group travel, airport transfers, or mini-tour.  Use the Charter Transportation Request Form to request quotes for services from any of the UT Dallas transportation vendors:Transportation Vendors

In addition, Transportation Services offers complimentary Comet Cabs, which may be used for campus tours and special events on campus. Once parked, trained Transportation Services staffers help guests board Comet Cabs for transport to the event location.

To reserve Comet Cabs, complete a UT Dallas Police Event Registration Form. Under Special Parking Requests, make a reservation inquiry for Comet Cab service for your event. Reservations are booked on a first-come, first serve basis.

Comet Cabs:

  • Have a maximum capacity of 14 people.
  • Are equipped with a public announcement system for tour guides.
  • Are all-electric vehicles.
  • Have a range of 50 miles, or 4 to 5 hours on a single charge.

Promote Your Event on the Buses

Bus Image

The Route 883 Comet Cruiser operates four University-branded transit buses, each of which offers the opportunity to advertise your public event. The buses are visible on campus and to the local community six days a week, up to 16 hours a day. There is no charge to University departments and affiliates to post advertising on the buses; however, clients are responsible for producing and providing the ad materials. Display dates may be specified; however, requests will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contact Parking and Transportation Services for space availability.

Buses are equipped with interior and exterior frames for print advertising.

Each bus has two 30-foot long interior frames installed length-wise above the windows. These frames accommodate print advertising on heavy but flexible 15-mm styrene sign stock 11″ in height and any length up to 30′.

Each bus has one exterior frame on the rear of the bus. These accommodate 3-mm Coroplast ad board measuring 72 3/8″ wide X 21 3/16″ tall. The dimensions of the visible sign are 69 1/2″ wide X 20″ tall. Exterior signage should be reviewed by University Marketing prior to production.

In the event a Comet Cruiser is taken out of service, ads will not be transferred to non-branded temporary replacement vehicles.

For further information about advertising or to submit a request, contact Paul Smith, parking and transportation manager, at x7777.
