Dear ECS Family:

The Inaugural Workshop on Imaging and Data Science will be held at the Texas Instruments Auditorium (ECSS 2.102) at The University of Texas at Dallas from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022.

The workshop will bring engineers, computer scientists, radiologists, oncologists and clinicians together as we translate innovative imaging technologies and data science methods from our research laboratories to clinical settings with the goal of improving human health.

The program will include two keynote talks by Dr. Michael Miga at Vanderbilt University and Dr. Samuel Achilefu at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The workshop also includes lightning talks on state-of-the-art technology and clinical studies by faculty investigators from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Graduate and undergraduate students as well as postdoctoral researchers are invited to submit research posters for the poster competition. Winners will be recognized at the workshop with poster award certificates and cash prizes. Please check the workshop website for more information.

The registration for the workshop is free, and lunch will be provided. Registration is capped at 120 people. Hope that you will be able to attend the workshop at the TI Auditorium on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022.
