Parking permits for academic year 2022-2023 are now available for purchase. As a reminder, a virtual License Plate Recognition (LPR) system has replaced stickers/decals on windshields. This camera-based mobile system quickly scans multiple vehicle license plates and verifies vehicles have valid virtual permits.

All students who park on campus must purchase a virtual parking permit. Any vehicles driven to campus must be linked to a parking account and permit in MyParking.

After purchasing a permit online, students will receive an email receipt confirming their purchase and valid vehicles. Parking privileges begin instantly.

Student parking permit prices are listed on the Parking and Transportation site. There have been no changes to any of the color-coded (pdf) areas for this year, but some lots may be unavailable due to construction.

To purchase a virtual parking permit online, log in to your MyParking account and select “Get Permits” and follow the prompts on screen. To register a new vehicle online, log in to your MyParking account and select the vehicles tab. You will then be able to add a vehicle by entering the license plate and other vehicle details. You may register two vehicles to your virtual permit; however, only one vehicle can be parked on campus at any given time. Parking more than one vehicle on campus at one time may lead to citations for surpassing the vehicle limit of your permit.

All virtual permits are nontransferable and can be used only by the individual to whom it is assigned. It is essential that all vehicle information is kept current and accurate to avoid citations.

At the time of purchase, you will need the following:

• UT Dallas NetID and password.
• Vehicle license plate number and state.
• Vehicle year, make, model and color.
