Fred Curchack School of Arts and Humanities
Mr. Curchack directed his first play in the ninth grade and since then created more than 60 original works, 21 of which are one-man plays.
In 2001, he directed the world premiere of the new Oxford University Press version of Euripides’ Bakkhai. Curchack also teaches doctoral seminars on Shakespeare and has staged and performed many of the Bard’s plays at annual Shakespeare literary conferences. He is a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship as well as a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Curchack received his M.A. from Queens College.
