Cynthia Ledbetter, Ph.D. School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
Professor of Science Education
Dr. Ledbetter is as comfortable studying how science research is presented in the classroom as she is getting her hands in the dirt in Big Bend National Park. Through her outreach to school teachers, she helps instructors understand science concepts and ways to demonstrate scientific ideas to students. In the field, Ledbetter leads hands-on activities in natural environments of Yellowstone National Park, Big Bend National Park, the ‘Big Island’ of Hawaii and even in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.. Ledbetter’s teaching interests are in the online strand of the master’s degree in science education, which was launched in August 2006. |
