Naofal Al-Dhahir, Ph.D. Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science
Professor; Director, Broadband Information Tranmission & Signal Processing Laboratory
Dr. Al-Dhahir directs UT Dallas' Broadband Information Transmission and Signal Processing (BITS) Laboratory.
He holds more than 20 patents and has authored more than 175 journal and conference papers.
In 2007, he recieved one of the highest honors bestowed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, or IEEE, when he was named a Fellow for his "contributions to high-rate communications through broadband channels."
Prior to UT Dallas, he gained more than 10 years' industry experience at the research laboratories of General Electric and AT&T.
He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
