Dr. Hart is one of the world's foremost experts on semantic memory - how the brain stores and accesses knowledge. His research focuses on the neural basis of semantic memory. His laboratory uses a variety of investigative techniques, including: electrophysiology (EEG), structural brain imaging, and functional brain imaging.
Hart is the President of the Society for Behavioral and Cognitive Neurology and the Behavioral Neurology Section of the American Academy of Neurology. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University and received his M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
