Sumit Sarkar, Ph.D. Naveen Jindal School of Management
Dr. Sarkar is the academic director for the International Center for Decision and Risk Analysis at UT Dallas. He conducts research on the management of data and knowledge in business environments. This includes personalization technologies used by firms to recommend digital content and physical goods, data privacy and confidentiality considerations that arise from shared data, the reconciliation of data from multiple sources, software release and the impact of information quality on decision making.
Recognized in 2000 as Outstanding Graduate Teacher at UT Dallas, Sarkar teaches courses in information technology and MIS fundamentals, database management systems and knowledge management to graduate students.
