Campus Landscape Enhancement Project (mall renovation)Campus Landscape Enhancement Project — A stand of magnolias and a series of five reflecting pools, walkways, lights and sitting areas highlight the mall renovation.
Residence Hall NorthResidence Hall North — This 400-bed, 148,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility offers living-learning environments, which group together students with similar interests and majors.
Science Learning Center (SLC) — This facility serves as a major laboratory for research on effective teaching and learning techniques, both at the collegiate level and kindergarten through 12th grade.
Student Services BuildingStudent Services Building — A one-stop student service center,  the facility is certified LEED Platinum, achieving the highest level of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
Founders Hall RenovationFounders Hall Renovation – Founders Hall, the oldest building on campus, has been renovated with updated classroom and lab spaces and a new east face that is accessible from the mall.
Campus Enhancement and the RoundaboutThe Roundabout – University Parkway leads to the roundabout, a circular driveway that can be used to drop off and pick up passengers near the School of Management.
Dining Hall Dining Hall — Situated just west of the Comet Cafe and the Student Union, it seats more than 400 people who can choose food from seven serving areas, each offering different fare.
Visitor Center and University BookstoreVisitor Center and University Bookstore — Clad in glass and steel, this facility serves at the campus gateway for first-time visitors. The mall-like interior features a coffee shop and other retail areas.

Our Facilities Management (FM) website is the place for information on all services and support available through Facilities Management. This site offers the latest status reports on all construction projects under way and it links to the University’s Sustainability website. UTD’s main campus is roughly 445 acres with an additional 265 acres of adjacent property. Nearly 10 acres of University land is in the city of Dallas at four sites near UT Southwestern Medical Center. We are transforming our campus’ appearance and capabilities, adding more than 600,000 square feet of academic and support space in accordance with the Master Plan. More


Facilities Management’s mission is to provide an environment conducive to the academic processes of teaching and research for the day-to-day activities of faculty, staff and students. We do this in an efficient manner to protect the assets of the citizens of Texas.
