Associate Dean Executive Education

School of Management

The School of Management (SOM) at The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a dynamic and proven leader to head its Executive Education programs.  Although a relatively young school, UT Dallas SOM has established itself as one of the leading educational institutions in the country. 

The school’s faculty are internationally renowned, with research productivity rankings 20th nationally. The school has ranked undergraduate, graduate and Executive Education programs.  The Executive Education offerings include several nationally recognized programs.  The Executive MBA program is currently ranked by Financial Times as 10th among programs based in the U.S.  Forbes magazine recognizes our Global Leadership Executive MBA, one of the first distance education programs in the country, as a “Best of the Web.”  Our Project Management program is one of the few accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI). 

The school also offers a unique Healthcare Management MS and MBA for physicians jointly taught by faculty from UT Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical School.  The school offers various certificate programs and custom-developed programs for firms both locally and internationally. 

Candidates seeking the position are expected to hold at least an MBA degree. Prior experience in Executive Education is desirable. Rank will be open (ranging from Clinical Professor to Full Professor) and be based on qualifications and prior experience. The Associate Dean for Executive Education is expected to provide leadership in continuing the school’s tradition of developing and successfully implementing highly innovative programs. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop corporate relations to grow and market the programs.  The candidate should have strong budget and fiscal skills and excellent communication and networking skills.  Demonstrated performance in multifaceted activities in prior positions will be given added consideration.
