Professor and Director for the Center for Children and Families

The School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences

The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a professor/director for a new interdisciplinary Center for Children and Families.  The new Center will be organized around three research initiatives:  Parenting Healthy Families, Strengthening Interpersonal Relationships, and Enhancing Thinking and Learning.  We seek a senior investigator with an active research program in a relevant area, a strong record of external funding, administrative experience, dedication to mentoring researchers, skill in forming relationships with community partners, and a strong interest in developing the vision for the new, interdisciplinary Center.  

The director would hold a faculty appointment in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas http://bbs.utdallas.edu/, and would be expected to be an active member of that vibrant faculty and to collaborate with the directors of other Centers at the University (for example, the Center for BrainHealth and the Callier Center for Communication Disorders http://bbs/utdallas.edu/research/
