Events and Adventures at UT Dallas: Spring 2012
The spring semester is always packed with opportunities for career preparation, community service or cultural awareness, but there's plenty of room for Comets to have fun, too.
Explore the WOW!
Explore the WOW! is a hands-on way to check out the "World of Work" without the longer-term commitment of an internship or job. Offered during spring break, the program provides exposure to a work setting where students can learn about job requirements, employer expectations and professionalism.
Alternative Spring Break
Alternative Spring Break is a week-long immersion experience where student volunteers dedicate their time during spring break to assist service agencies and make a difference to array of communities.
Career Expos
The Career Center sponsors career expos throughout the year to help UT Dallas students and alumni connect with potential employers or potential graduate schools.
Springapalooza
Staged annually by the Student Union Activities Advisory Board (SUAAB), Springapalooza is a weeklong series of events in late March that marks the start of the last half of the spring semester at UT Dallas.
International Week
Held annually in April, International Week celebrates the cultural diversity of the University’s 3,500-plus international students. Festivities typically include dinners, dance parties and a talent show.
Oozeball
One of UT Dallas' favorite traditions, oozeball is a mud volleyball tournament held annually in late spring. In addition to student vs. student contests, there is typically a match between students and faculty.
