Free Month’s Rent at Residence Halls
The University is opening the residence halls to all classes, so your student now has the option to continue living in the on-campus facilities.
Just a few weeks ago, students signed up for housing for fall 2013. As an added incentive, the first 300 students to sign a lease to live in the residence halls can live rent-free in December 2013 (a $651 value).
With 24/7-desk operation, emergency maintenance, on-site Peer Advisors and fully-furnished rooms, UT Dallas residence halls take the worry and hassle out of finding housing.
There are many other benefits to living in the residence hall community. All bills are paid, there are on-site study rooms and TV lounges, free laundry facilities, courtyard BBQ grills, a community kitchen, private bedrooms for all students and more. The residence halls also are now open during the winter holiday. There's no need to worry about your student running out of money for food because a minimum $750 per semester Dining Dollars meal plan is required for all residents. Your student can use their Dining Dollars at any on-campus eatery, and any unused Dining Dollars automatically roll over to the spring semester.
Leases will begin on Aug. 21, 2013, so your student is not required to stay over the summer to guarantee housing for fall. If your student would like to apply to live in the residence halls and wants the opportunity to live rent-free in December, make sure they complete the online housing application, and they sign a lease by March 15.
