Family Day Recap
A record-breaking 1,350 family members and students attended Family Day on Oct. 3. Guests enjoyed an opening presentation by campus leaders and a keynote talk from alumnus Brandon Worsham BS’00 MS’02, who spoke about how campus involvement impacted his time at the University.
Participants ate a barbecue lunch, watched student organization performances, played games and made scarves for the homeless as part of a service learning project. During the tailgate, the UT Dallas Veteran Services Center hosted UT Dallas military families in a special seating area. The afternoon concluded with attendees watching the women’s and men’s soccer teams face off against Hardin-Simmons University.
The Comet Families office thanks you for your involvement and looks forward to welcoming even more families at next year’s event! For photos from the day’s festivities, please visit the Family Day 2015 album on the Comet Families Facebook page.
