Refunds for Financial Aid

Refund Policy

If a student's account reflects a credit balance, the Bursar's Office will analyze the account for any outstanding loans, library fines, parking citations or other fees owed to the university before a refund will be processed. Once any outstanding debts to the university have been paid, either a paper refund check or an electronic funds transfer will be processed for the remaining credit balance.

Unless you have signed up ONLINE through EZPAY to receive your refunds and scholarship/financial aid disbursements via direct deposit, as of August 1, 2008, refund and scholarship/financial aid disbursement checks will no longer be available for pickup at the Bursar’s Office. After this date, your checks will be mailed to your local address approximately one week after the refund is processed.

Avoid this delay in receiving your funds by signing up through EZPAY for Direct Deposit!

Here is the simple process:

  1. Go to http://www.utdallas.edu/ezpay.
  2. Select Set up Direct Deposit Refund Account.
  3. Click Enter EZPay Portal here.
  4. Log in with your UTD ID number and PIN. If you do not know your UTD ID number visit https://netid.utdallas.edu/guam/ssnlogin to retrieve it. IF you do not know your PIN visit http://go.utdallas.edu/pin, http://go.utdallas.edu/mypin, or http://go.utdallas.edu/whatsmypin to retrieve it.
  5. On the top of the page, select My Profiles, then Payment Profile.
  6. Select electronic check from the drop down box and click Go.
  7. Enter your bank information in the form and check the box that says "Please check here if you would like refunds to be deposited into this account."
  8. Click Save.

NOTE: If you have previously signed up for direct deposit by filling out a paper form, you will need to sign up again through EZPAY before July 31, 2008 in order to avoid having your checks mailed.

Note: Please make sure that you have provided the University with a valid local address. Foreign addresses will cause a delay in the availability of refunds. You may update your address at the Registrar's Office or online thru Galaxy.
