WHAT ARE INDIRECT COSTS?
Indirect costs, otherwise known
as facilities and administrative costs are a negotiated rate of
return of costs that are incurred for common or joint objectives
and therefore cannot be identified readily and specifically with a particular
sponsored project, an instructional activity, or any other institutional activity
associated with performing a sponsored research project. The rate is negotiated
every three years and the calculations are based on a very intensive
Space Survey.
