Investment Accounting

UTIMCO (University of Texas Investment Management Company) manages all of UTD's investments. The following table describes UTD's investment accounts:

PUF (University of Texas Permanent University Fund) Authorized by state Constitution. Interest earned is allocated to UT System component institutions to fund construction projects. UT System Board determines allocation based on components' requests. Distribution is handled by OFPC (Office of Facilities Planning and Construction UT System        
Commercial Paper (RFS) Issued by UT System to fund construction until the projects are substantially completed. The commercial paper is replaced by bonds at the end of the construction period.
