Budget Office Deadlines

• Final Day to Process BAFs for FY08 is Thursday, August 21st, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. to the Budget Office. All BAFs for FY08 must be initiated, approved, and routed to your Budget Analyst by this date. Generally, BAFs take several days to route through the system for required approvals. You are encouraged to enter BIS daily to monitor the progress of year-end BAFs and to make follow-up telephone calls and/or e-mails to expedite completion of BAFs by this date.

  Be sure to initiate BAFs required to fund termination vacation pay for employees paid from state accounts who are leaving the institution at the end of the fiscal year. If you have received goods or services from university departments and have not been billed, be sure to make provision for these costs when preparing your year-end BAFs.

  The Budget Office cannot process BAFs any later due to BIS requirements related to the roll from the old fiscal year to the new fiscal year.
