* RIDER ALERT * * 883 ROUTE TO CHANGE *

Beginning Monday, July 20, 2009, the Comet Cruiser route will be modified. The route change will will modify only the turn-around at the western end of the route. The Comet Cruiser, DART Rt 883, will travel the current route from Bush Turnpike Station to McCallum Boulevard., but will continue westbound on McCallum rather than making the turn-around via Dickerson Street. From westbound McCallum, the route will turn left (south) on Meandering Way, then turn left (east) on Campbell Road, left on Mimosa Drive, and right on Jonsson Boulevard picking up the current route back to the UTD campus and rail station. The new route is shown on the posted Rt 883 map.

Service along Dickerson, Ronnie Drive and Frank Jackson Drive will be discontinued, as will two-way service along McCallum, Coit Road, and Tatum Street. Routing between Bush Turnpike Station and the UTD campus will not be affected.

There will be no change to the Comet Cruiser schedule.

UT-Dallas welcomes students, faculty, staff, visitors, and residents to the campus.  The Transportation Services Division provides the campus community with public transportation and parking services to make the campus and its facilities accessible to all users.  The University operates campus shuttle bus services to provide on- and off-campus transportation to students, faculty, staff, and visitors that is convenient, cost effective, and safe. Services are operated in cooperation with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and serve the local community as well as the University.  The Transportation Services Office is a division of University Police.
