Housing Details
All freshmen who choose to live on campus are required to live in University Village. In the fall of 2009 a new suite-style 400-bed residence hall is scheduled to open.
Housing Assignments
Freshmen will be assigned apartments in University Village Phase VIII. At that time, you will receive your apartment number and mailing address, as well as the names and phone numbers of your roommates.
Assignments will not be released over the phone.
Apartment assignments for fall 2008 will be distributed on or before July 31. Freshmen who are admitted for summer or spring will be given their move-in date from University Village staff.
Roommate Assignments
Roommates are assigned based on gender and space availability. All buildings are coed; individual apartments are not.
Every effort is made to place students who mutually request each other in the same apartment. It is recommended that students who wish to live together mail their individual applications in the same envelope.
Applicants will be given priority based on availability and according to the date the completed application and fees are postmarked.
If no roommate is requested, students will be matched based on answers to questions in their housing applications.
Assignments are made without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation or veteran status.
Roommate applications received on or before May 31 will receive priority.
The Residential Life Office reserves the right to make assignment changes as necessary.
