University Convocation is a welcome ceremony for incoming students that marks the beginning of their academic career at UT Dallas.
Held at the beginning of the fall semester, Welcome Week is a sampling of campus events and activities for incoming freshmen and returning students.
Each fall, Family Day celebrates the special connection between students and their families and includes meet-and-greets with faculty, a picnic, a sporting event, family games and campus tours.
Fall Homecoming activities include a parade, pep rally, tailgate party, dance, alumni events and a casino night. The weeklong celebration culminates with an athletic event.
Held the week after spring break, Springapalooza includes casino night, comedy night and a big, messy splatter dance party.
Held in early April, International Week celebrates the University’s cultural diversity. Students can attend a globally themed film, participate in a dance party, take part in an international talent show and sample global foods.
