Apply for Freshman Housing

All freshmen who choose to live on campus are required to live in University Village. In the fall of 2009 a new suite-style 400-bed residence hall is scheduled to open.
The Application Process
- Please complete the freshman housing application packet first. If you are interested in joining a select group of students who will share common residential, academic and social experiences, you may also want to submit an application for Living Learning Communities.
- Before you can apply for housing, you must be admitted to the University. To apply to UT Dallas, please visit the Office of Enrollment Services Web site.
- If you will be under the age of 18 at the time of your move-in, you will complete a guarantor form provided by University Village at time of move-in.
- Please complete all sections of the housing application to ensure accurate processing.
- A non-refundable $35 application fee must be enclosed with the application. Academic Excellence Scholarship students with a housing stipend may waive their fee.
- A $100 security deposit is also required at the time of application. This deposit must include a separate check or money order for the application fee and deposit. Each individual student is required to pay a security deposit.
- Checks, money orders and credit cards are accepted.
- Please make checks payable to University Village.

After Submitting Your Application
- Your application will be given priority based on availability and according to the date the completed forms and fees are postmarked.
- Please remember that an application for admission to the University and an application for housing does not guarantee that space will be available. Additionally, if you receive a scholarship, you are still responsible for payment of the security deposit.
- If your housing application is cancelled on or before May 31, you will receive a full refund. No refund will be made If you cancel after June 1.
- All cancellations must be made in writing and sent to the Residential Life Office.
- A sample lease contract may be provided by University Village at orientation.
