Why did you decide to become an Orientation Team Mentor?
The Orientation Team Mentors the year I was a freshman were amazing and an inspiration for me to get involved on campus, and I wanted to help others the way they helped me.
What advice do you have for the freshman class coming to UT Dallas?
Be yourself, but don’t be afraid to try new things or redefine who you are.
What do you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?
I wished I lived on campus.
What do you like about UT Dallas?
It’s a small campus and as a student you can make a difference and start traditions.
Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
It was close to home, and the arts and technology program is unique to campus.
What has been your favorite/best UT Dallas experience so far?
My first year as an Orientation Team Mentor.
What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?
While you are in college, it is okay to be poor.
What do you like to do to unwind after class?
Watch television or go get tea with friends.
