Do you live on campus? If yes, what do you like about living on your own?
Yes, and I really like being able to walk to class without having to worry about leaving early to find a parking space. Also, I love having the freedom to do whatever I want, when I want.

List some of your hobbies.
Reading, writing and cooking.

What is something that people may not know about you?
I was really nervous to go to college, but now I wouldn’t have life any other way!

Why did you decide to become an Orientation Team Mentor?
I wanted to get involved on campus and Orientation Team Mentors seemed like a cool thing to do.

What advice do you have for the freshman class coming to UT Dallas?
It sounds really cliché, but get involved. I was unhappy with the way my first semester was, but once I became an Orientation Team Mentor, my college experience turned around completely. I met so many awesome people and now I love UT Dallas.

What do you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?
I wish I had been nicer to my roommates.

What do you like about UT Dallas?
I like the intimate atmosphere. You can walk to class and it doesn’t take 20 minutes, and it’s likely that you’ll have classes with the same people every semester.

Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
Honestly, I came to UT Dallas for the wrong reasons, but it turned out to be one of the greatest things that ever happened to me.

What has been your favorite/best UT Dallas experience so far?
Being an Orientation Team Mentor has been great. I have made tons of new friends, met and helped freshmen and their families and created relationships with faculty that may help down the line.

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?
Paying the bills is actually kind of hard.

What do you like to do to unwind after class?
I usually go home and watch television or get on the Internet, or I go out with friends and chill over tea.
