Being a Senior OTM takes up most of my time, but I still try to play intramural sports.
List some of your hobbies.
Swimming, baking, puzzles, playing board games
What is something that people may not know about you?
I am a thrill seeker! I have an addiction to sky diving and got my scuba diving license when I was 15.
Why did you decide to become an Orientation Team Mentor?
It was love at first “Whoosh!” What more can I say?
What advice do you have for the freshman class coming to UT Dallas?
Get involved. This really is the best way to connect to campus and make new friends.
What is your favorite thing about UT Dallas?
UTD is growing more and more every day. It is so exciting to be a part of these changes! The administration is so open to new ideas that students definitely play a vital part in UTD’s development.
Was there anything you wish you knew before starting your freshman year?
What a dent eating out puts in your budget! I saved so much money when I started really grocery shopping.
What has been your best UT Dallas experience so far?
It is so hard to choose just one! Every year, I look forward to Splatter Beat. It’s an event where we beat drums with paint on them and everyone dances to music, while covered in glow-in-the-dark paint!
Is there anything you would change about your freshman year experience?
I would have gotten involved sooner.
What is your favorite UT Dallas tradition?
Homecoming! It is a week of amazing fun, ending with a big dance and casino night.
