Do you live on campus? If yes, what do you like about living on your own?
Yes. I love having the freedom to do what I want, when I want. I also feel more grown up, now that I have the responsibility to get to class and do everything on my own.

List some of the clubs or organizations you are involved in at UT Dallas.
Orientation Team Mentor, Alpha Gamma Delta, Extreme Sports, Invisible Children.

List some of your hobbies.
Singing.

What is something that people may not know about you?
I was a gymnast, and I can stand on my hands for a long time.

Why did you decide to become an Orientation Team Mentor?
I wanted to become an Orientation Team Mentor after Comet Camp because the Orientation Team Mentors at the time seemed really fun and I wanted to be part of that group.

What advice do you have for the freshman class coming to UT Dallas?
Don’t put things off to the last minute. And even though you have a lot of new freedom, make sure to actually go to your classes.

What do you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?
Not take so many difficult classes, which discouraged me from continuing in my original major. I was unprepared for the level of work that was required, and I should have eased into college with a less difficult class load.

What do you like about UT Dallas?
It is almost always possible to get extra one-on-one help from professors.

Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
My uncle works here, so he told me about it. When I got my scholarship, it made up my mind.

What has been your favorite/best UT Dallas experience so far?
The first week at UT Dallas (before school started), I met so many new people that I still hang out with and who are some of my best friends.

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?
There is a lot of free food and T-shirts.

What do you like to do to unwind after class?
Hang out with friends and take naps.
