What is Galaxy?
Galaxy is a new intranet built in response to requests from the students, faculty and staff for a more user-friendly interface to the most used information systems. Galaxy was introduced to the campus in August, 2006 by Information Resources and Web Services.
Social Security Number No Longer Required
Out of concern for your privacy, UTD created the ability to login to Web for Employees to access your pay stub, deductions and leave balances using your NetID and password.
This means no more hassling with PINs or giving out your Social Security number online.

You choose the news you want.
A number of UTD departments are collaborating to provide announcements, deadlines, notices, etc. in a customizeable format similar to My Yahoo!, My MSN, or Google Personalized Home.
Personalized news channels will include:
