The conference will be held at the Marriott Dallas/Addison Quorum by the Galleria Oct 13-17, 2008. The Marriott is located minutes from The Galleria Shopping center and within walking distance of hundreds of restaurants, shops. It is an easy shuttle ride from either Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) or Love Field, Dallas (DAL). A block of rooms have been reserved for conference participants. Room rates are shown below and conference participants must make their reservations through the conference website for the conference rate. The deadline for making reservations at the conference rate is September 21, 2008.

The GEC2008 room rates are affordable: Single, double or triple -occupancy at $160/night as well as up to 60 rooms available at the prevailing Federal per diem rate (for US government employees). October is THE conference time in the Dallas "Metroplex" area, and these rates are very good so please register early with the conference hotel.

The Conference Secretary is willing to assist graduate students in finding suitable room mates to alleviate some of the hotel costs. If you send in your information, he will compile a list and try to make appropriate matches. Information will be kept confidential to those seeking roommates, but students should expect to attend the entire conference and be sure to include their research advisor's contact information. Requests should be sent via email.
