Technical presentations and workshops are the primary focus for student members of our consortium group in attending the SEG Annual Meetings.  They provide current information on research endeavors of geophysicist from all over the world.  Several students attended the meeting a couple of days early in order to participate in technical workshops and symposium meetings with limited space availability.  Over the five days we also set up an exhibitor booth to attract additional sponsors for the consortium and students for graduate studies.

Another highlight was a lunch attended by current students and alumni, with about 35 attendees.

The SEG Annual Meeting is a forum for the geoscience community to get up-to-date information on current research and technology, with many networking opportunities, all with the purpose of advancing geophysics.
