Show Your Spirit Showdown

The UT Dallas Homecoming Committee is hosting a showdown among organizations that participate during Homecoming Week 2009. Each organization can gain points by participating in various events during Homecoming Week and gain additional points by winning certain competitions.

The winning organization will receive a prize and their picture will be recorded in the “hall of fame” located in the student union.  

At each event where you can gain points by attending, there will be someone at the entrance to check your members in and add to your points.

Accepted UT Dallas spirit wear:

• UT Dallas attire (must be showing)
• Painted bodies
• Painted hair
• Dressing completely in UT Dallas colors (orange and green)
• Homecoming mum

Point Chart

The following chart lists how each organization can gain points. Registration is not necessary to compete in the Spirit Showdown. At each event, please make sure each member of your organization signs in, otherwise points will not be allocated to your organization.

	Participation per Volunteer: 5 points
	No points; prize money availabe
	1st place: 100 points 2nd place: 75 points 3rd place: 50 points Participation: 25 points
	Dress up (UTD): 5 points per member
*	Attendance: 5 points per member Dress up (UTD): 10 points
	Halftime Cheerleading Contest 1st Place: 100 points 2nd place: 75 points 3rd place: 50 points
	Attendance: 10 points per organization
	Attendance: 5 points
* To receive points for attending a soccer or volleyball game you must stay at least 30 min. A check in/out sheet will be available. Points will not be awarded on Saturday games.
