Trunk-or-Treating is a community service event UT-Dallas students and organizations provide to area children as an alternative for trick-or-treating.
Students decorate the inside of their vehicle trunks and provide a safe environment to hand out candy to visiting trick-or-treaters. This event is open to the UT Dallas community as well as the surrounding area . This will be a great service opportunity for your organization!
Please register your vehicle(s) by October 27, 2009.
Trunk-or-Treating Guidelines
- Trunk must be able to fit into a parking space(s). If more than one parking space is needed, please register for the number of parking spaces needed.
- An organization is limited to three parking spaces.
- Since the event is geared towards younger children, all university policies apply in regards to the content of the material. No vulgar language, threatening messages or adult themes should be depicted in the decorations.
- Trunk may relate to Homecoming theme, Carnival or Halloween Holiday.
- Trunk must include the organization or department name.
- If you choose to give out candy, all candy must be pre-packaged.
- Residential Parking Permit will not be needed during event hours.
- Set-up for Trunk-or-Treating can begin at 4pm in assigned parking space(s).
- All cars must leave the lot by 9pm to accommodate resident parking.
