Apply for Housing
To apply, each applicant must:
- print and complete the Housing Application
- be eligible to live on campus (see below)
- submit a $50 non-refundable application fee
- submit $150 apartment deposit per person (must be a separate check or money order from the application fee)
All items must be received before the application becomes valid. You may send paperwork and monies via regular mail, overnight mail, or drop-off at the information center.
No cash will be accepted. Please submit check or money order payable to: University Village. Separate checks or money orders for the application fee and the deposit are required.
Prior to moving in, you MUST resolve any outstanding admission and registration requirements. Outstanding items on your To Do List or holds for residency, required vaccinations, or other required documents, will prevent you from registering for classes.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to live at University Village, students must maintain student status each semester they wish to reside at University Village and enroll in and complete the following:
- Graduate students — 3 class hours of UT Dallas course work each fall and spring semester.
- Undergraduate students — 3 class hours of UT Dallas course work each fall and spring semester.
- All students — enrollment in summer classes is not required.
Quad apartments may only be leased by four UT Dallas students.
Residence at University Village is restricted to UT Dallas students, their spouses and children. All residents, 18 years of age and older, must be signatories on housing agreements. A person, who is a non-immigrant and who is on practical training, is no longer a student and does not qualify for eligibility to lease.
A resident suspended or expelled by the University must complete a University Village Housing Cancellation form no later than 24 hours following the exhaustion of the appeal process. Eligibility may be revoked if a student is found in violation of the student code of conduct.
Available units are filled in order of priorities and then by date and time stamp of application. UT Dallas has the right to reserve units in University Village.
Students with housing stipend scholarships (during their one-week spring renewal process) will receive priority. UT Dallas reserves the right to make appropriate changes in housing priorities and procedures sa required. Changes will become effective whenever the appropriate authorities so determend and may apply to both prospective student residents and those already residing at University Village.
Space Availability
When an apartment becomes available, you
will be contacted and given a designated time frame in which to
respond.
If you do not respond within the designated time frame, we will contact you and give you the option of remaining on the waiting list or canceling your housing application.
If we do not hear back from you, you will remain on the waiting list until 30 days after the next semester begins at which time your application will be cancelled and your deposit will be refunded.
If you would like to rejoin the waiting list at that time you will be required to submit a new application with all applicable fees.
